We are currently offering three fully funded positions in the Restoration Ecology group at the department of Wildlife, Fish, and Environmental Studies at SLU in Umeå. Two of the positions are as PhD students and one as a two-year postdoc. All projects concern issues pertaining to forest biodiversity conservation and restoration. Short summary:
i) One postdoc position (2 years) on un-even aged forestry and combining goals on biodiversity conservation and biomass production.
ii) One PhD position (4 years) on effects on biodiversity of different thinning regimes connected to biofuel harvest in forest.
