Subject: [Sdiv_news] Call for session, workshops etc open: Annual GfÖ Ecology Conference 2023 hosted by iDiv in Leipzig

Dear colleagues,

In 2023, iDiv will host the highly international 52nd Annual Meeting of the Ecological Society of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (GfÖ), taking place from 12-16 September in beautiful Leipzig.

The
call for sessions is online, and proposals can be submitted until 10 February 2023.

“The future of biodiversity – overcoming barriers of taxa, realms and scales”

The next years will be dedicated to developing strategies to implement the post2020 Global Biodiversity Framework of the Convention of Biological Diversity (CBD) to foster a healthy, resilient, and biodiverse planet. Therefore, the 52nd GfÖ Annual Meeting will be held under the motto “The future of biodiversity – overcoming barriers of taxa, realms and scales”.
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Leipzig to discuss the threats and options for a positive Earth’s future jointly with colleagues working in all ecosystems & with all taxa. Only by overcoming subdisciplinary barriers we jointly can successfully tackle the grand challenges of humanity.

We encourage all colleagues to organise and chair sessions for presentations, interactive lunchtime events, or (pre-conference) workshops. Proposals are welcome until 10 February 2023 and should be submitted to http://www.gfoe-conference.de/.

We look forward to receiving your proposal!

Warm regards,

On behalf of the GfÖ 2023 Orga team

sMarten Winter
