[Oikos-listan] ECI and IRPE Prize nominations 2017

International Ecology Institute (Oldendorf/Luhe, Germany) ECI and IRPE Prizes, 2017

Nominations are being called for the ECI and IRPE Prizes 2017 in Terrestrial Ecology. The Prizes carry endowments of €6000 and €3000 (euro), respectively.

The closing date for nominations is March 31, 2017.

Nominees for the Prizes must be top performers in the field of Terrestrial Ecology.

The prizes were established in 1986 by Prof. Dr. Dr. Otto Kinne and are awarded in the fields of Marine, Terrestrial and Freshwater Ecology in annual rotation.

The International Ecology Institute (ECI) Prize is awarded to an ecologist distinguished by outstanding and sustained scientific achievements. The prize both honours the recipient and requires her or him to serve science and society by authoring a book taking into account the aims of the International Ecology Institute. The International Recognition of Professional Excellence (IRPE) Prize honours a young ecologist (not older than 40 years) who has published uniquely independent, original and/or challenging research representing an important scientific breakthrough, and/or who must work under particularly difficult conditions.
