[Oikos-listan] Post-doc position for research on IPBES with UFZ Science-Policy Expert Group

Dear colleague,

with the support of iDiv, the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research, we offer the opportunity for a two-year post-doc position to do collaborative research on the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). The project will be lead jointly by Carsten Neßhöver, Silke Beck and Josef Settele (UFZ Science-Policy Expert Group), Esther Turnhout (University of Wageningen and Henrique Pereira (iDiv) and will look into the  challenges  that  IPBES  faces  with  respect  to  (1)  the  broad  and  inclusive participation of diverse scientific disciplines and other stakeholders in its
activities  and  (2)  the  mutual  exchange  of  knowledge  between  different IPBES  activities,  mainly  with  focus  on  its  Global  Assessment.

We are looking for excellent, highly-skilled applicants with expertise in the interdisciplinary social sciences or STS and experience in the governance of global multilateral enironmental processes and agreements.
