I would appreciate help to spread these two announcements of postdoc positions on modelling and projecting ecosystem services and distribution patterns and dynamics of (meta)populations. The models will be applied in simulations of scenarios of forestry or climate change.
Modelling and projecting forest ecosystem services
You will develop models for the dynamics of ecosystem services. You will also apply models in for example the parallel BiodiERsA project GreenFutureForest (biodiversa.org) which aims at identifying a sustainable forestry given scenarios of a global demand for wood products from Sweden. For model development you will use time series data that have been collected in forest monitoring programmes, for example the National Forest Inventory.
Modelling for population viability analyses in forest
You will develop models for species distribution and (meta)population dynamics. The models will be applied in for example the parallel BiodiERsA project GreenFutureForest (biodiversa.org/923) which aims at identifying a sustainable forestry given scenarios of a global demand for wood products from Sweden. For model development you will use both Citizen Science Data that have been reported to www.artportalen.se and systematically collected research data. Also different types of covariate data will be used, field-measured as well as estimates based on remote sensing are available via Swedish LifeWatch (www.analysisportal.se). We study both mobile and sessile species such as birds, beetles, wood fungi and lichens.
