A permanent position as Senior lecturer in Landscape Ecology is open at Karlstad University, Sweden

Karlstad University is searching an for an enthusiastic new colleague, who wants to work in the field of Landscape Ecology, preferably focused on plants and vegetation, within a field that complements the research conducted within the River Ecology and Management research group (RivEM).
The main duties will be teaching and research. Teaching primarily consist of bachelor’s courses in Biology, as well as relevant master’s courses such as Landscape Ecology, Conservation Biology and/or Evolutionary Biology. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research that complements the current research being conducted within RivEM, and supervise doctoral students in the field of Landscape Ecology. We expect the senior lecturer to initiate new externally funded research projects, in collaboration with colleagues in the research group RivEM. There are also opportunities to collaborate with the research group SMEER, focused in subject-specific education research.
