Subject: Open position at IIASA
Dear colleagues,
I would appreciate help to spread the ad for this research position in land use policies at IIASA (see link below).
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Document current mitigation policies as being implemented in countries around the world and jointly develop GHG projections on the basis of such policies utilizing inhouse modeling tools
- Develop databases on currently implemented policies but also historical and projected GHG emissions levels for the AFOLU sector
- Manage data exchange and communication with partners and stakeholders engaged within ongoing projects
- Lead and contribute to project deliverables, reports and stakeholder communications
- Publish relevant results in peer-reviewed journals and participate in scientific conferences and workshops
- In line with the team spirit that prevails at IIASA, the incumbent may occasionally work on other tasks assigned by their superiors, that might not be directly related to this appointment but where the post holder has relevant experience and skills, and/or a shortage of immediate personnel capabilities requires such.
