I am writing to share information with you about the many educational and training opportunities in the Richard Gilder Graduate School (RGGS) at the American Museum of Natural History for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as for postdoctoral fellows.  Applications are now being accepted for the RGGS Comparative Biology Ph.D. program, Graduate Student Fellowship program, Postdoctoral Research Fellowship program, the Gerstner Scholars in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology, and the Master of Arts in Teaching program.

Application Deadlines:

  • Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program: November 15, 2021
  • Gerstner Scholars in Bioinformatics & Computational Biology: December 13, 2021
  • Comparative Biology Ph.D. Program and Graduate Student Fellowship program: December 15, 2021
  • Master of Arts in Teaching program: February 15, 2022

The Richard Gilder Graduate School (RGGS) encompasses the American Museum of Natural History’s (AMNH) post-secondary training programs in science. This broad community includes our PhD program in Comparative Biology and MAT program (Master of Arts in Teaching - Earth Science); and all other doctoral work with collaborating universities including both biological disciplines and in fields other than biology; undergraduate training programs; museum grants programs, and postdoctoral fellows.
