Dear all,
By this E-mail we would like to encourage you and your colleagues and students to participate with oral or poster presentations at the 14th International Turfgrass Research Conference (ITRC 2021) to be held in Copenhagen 11-16 July 2021. ITRCs are held every fourth year on behalf of the International Turfgrass Society (ITS) a not-for-profit scientific organization that encourages research and education in turfgrass science. The conference will bring together researchers, planning authorities, technical experts, consultants, high level turfgrass managers and top industry delegates. Turfgrass industry challenges relating to the 17 United Nations´ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set out in Agenda 2030 will constitute the conference programme framework.
Please help us make the ITRC 2021 a successful event by submitting titles and short abstracts as soon as possible at https://itrc2021.org/abstract-submission/
Although the conference is still 21 months ahead, the program committee recently announced the call for title and short abstract submissions at https://itrc2021.org/ - with the deadline of 1st December 2019. The purpose of this early submission is to enable the committee to build a strong and attractive program with many interesting sessions, both traditional discipline-oriented and interdisciplinary highlighting today’s broad challenges for turfgrass function and management. To this end, the submission website also encourages participants to define their contributions into the context of UN sustainable development goals.
Oral or poster presentations at the ITRC 2021 shall be accompanied by a scientific or technical paper in International Turfgrass Society Research Journal (ITSRJ) or – for those wanting to publish in a journal with Impact Factor – special sections or issues of Crop Science or Agronomy Journal. Papers in ITSRJ can either be traditional research papers, reviews, or case studies, all with a length of up to 8 pages, or short communications/ technical papers with a length of up to 3 pages. Short communications / technical papers may include new concepts, innovations and experiences and do not have the same formal requirements to replications and scientific style as full papers. They will be subjected to review, but the review process will be faster and the deadline for final manuscript submissions is therefore 1st September 2020 as opposed to 1st May 2020 for the full papers. Nonetheless, the 1st December deadline for title and abstract submissions apply even for the short communications / technical papers.
Please help us to spread information about the ITRC 2021 and the call for title and abstract submission.
Best regards,
Maria Strandberg Trygve Aamlid
