We have today announced a postdoc position here at Novia University of Applied Sciences as a part of a new project on Great cormorants. The aim of the project is twofold: to investigate which areas cormorants prefer for fishing, and to quantify the local impact of cormorants on fisheries catches in the Gulf of Finland. The successful applicant have a track record of producing high-quality scientific material, skills in GIS and in analysis of data, preferably in the programming environment R.
