Digital half-day (9 – 12.45) workshop 22 April, 2021
You are welcome to participate in a half-day workshop where we will hear about the situation for threatened species, main threats and possible trends of these in the Nordic countries.
Speakers are representatives from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden that are working with the national Red Lists. We will discuss similarities and differences between countries and what we can learn from these. In themed discussions, we will focus on changes in drivers of threats over time, the limitations, possibilities and perceptions of the Red Lists and finally how Red Lists are and can be used in conservation work. The workshop is aimed at anyone who works with or is interested to work with Red Lists.
Speakers are: Jesper Erenskjold Moeslund, Aarhus University, Denmark, Ulla-Maja Liukko, Finnish Environment Institute, Finland, Kristinn Haukur Skarphéðinsson, Icelandic Institute of Natural History, Iceland, Snorre Henriksen & Siri Hånes Langen, Norwegian Biodiversity Information Centre, Norway, Ulf Bjelke, Swedish Species Information Centre, Sweden.
