Dear scientists, students, and managers,
We would like to invite you to the 4th Conference of the Norwegian Ecological Society, which will be held from the 11th to the 13th of February 2019, at UiT - The Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø.
The conference topic is Towards Policy-Relevant Ecology. The focus will be on how ecological science is used by policy arenas in Norway, and how ecologists can make their science more useful for society. We have put together an exciting program including scientists working at the interface between science and policy-making. For details, visit the website here.
- The registration deadline is December 1st, 2018. The registration form can be found here.
- Abstracts should be submitted by December 1st, 2018 to nof2019abstract@bfe.uit.no. Abstracts do not need to have direct relevance to the conference theme. We welcome presentations and posters related to any topic in ecology. Click here for the abstract submission template.
- We have one day for workshops (February 13th). If you would like to organize a workshop, please submit the proposal form (here) to nof2019@bfe.uit.no by November 16th, 2018.
- We highly recommend that you book accommodation when you register, as there is high demand for hotel rooms in February in Tromsø. We have special deals with two hotels in town. Please see details on the website here.
- If you are a student, you can apply for grants from Norwegian Ecological Society and/or to share accommodation with local students. Click here for more information.
